Ward EAU4 has capacity for 26 patients with a variety of acute medical conditions.
We function as a Medical Assessment Unit, receiving our patients mostly from A&E and GP referrals.
EAU4 is an assessment area, so we may need to transfer patients to a core ward if they require admission. Some of our bed spaces have cardiac monitoring, meaning we can monitor a patient's heart rate and rhythm continuously. If this is required for you, the nurses will attach you to the equipment and explain the necessary information.
EAU4 can be a busy ward but our friendly team of nurses, doctors, healthcare support workers, housekeepers and cleaners will always do our best to provide high quality care and answer any and all of your concerns.
Current visiting policy
Restricted visiting will be permitted on most wards and areas such as our Emergency Department. Please follow our guidance to find our more information as some areas do still have restrictions.
