Professor Stephen Sawcer

Professor of neurological genetics and honorary consultant neurologist

I am a consultant neurologist with a specialist interest in multiple sclerosis, particularly the genetic aspects of the disease.

My current role

Within the hospital I undertake general neurology clinics and specialist clinics for patients with multiple sclerosis who are being treated with disease modifying treatments.

Previous history

I trained in Birmingham and Manchester before coming to Cambridge to undertake my PhD. I completed my neurology training at Addenbrooke's, became a consultant in 2004 and was appointed as Professor in 2012.
