My current role
Director of the Vasculitis and Lupus Service that cares for over 2000 patients with complex multi-system autoimmunity. I also contribute to acute nephrology, transplantation and internal medicine.
I lead an active clinical research team investigating therapies for vasculitis, lupus and rare renal disease, and have a strong interest in clinical trials methodology.
Previous history
Trained at the Universities of Cambridge and London, and in nephrology at Harvard Medical School, Boston, USA. Worked at Imperial College London, St George’s Hospital London and St Helier Hospital, Carshalton before joining CUH in 2001.
Membership/accreditations
Co-founder and the current President of the European Vasculitis Society. Member of the Renal Association, European Renal Association and America Society on Nephrology.
