My current role
In September 2020 I came to work ‘temporarily’ in the chaplaincy as a locum chaplain, just to help out during the pandemic. Temporary became ‘permanent’ in November 2021 and I have been here ever since. I try to bring my creativity to my work here in the hospital when I can, both with patients and colleagues and making displays for the Chapel. I am also part of a small team which gives Chaplaincy support to Kneesworth House Hospital, a medium secure Psychiatric Hospital.
Previous history
After working for a number of years as an artist, based in a studio at home, as well as teaching art in a primary school as a practitioner, I finally caved in and began training for priesthood at Westcott House in Cambridge. Following ordination in 2014 I spent the next five years in very rewarding parish ministry. I now work three days a week in the Chaplaincy and am Associate Priest at my local Parish Church. I spend any ‘spare time’ I can in the studio at the bottom of my garden making ceramics and prints.
