My current role
I am the lead for gynaecological oncology and colposcopy services. My areas of interest include advanced laparoscopic surgery for gynaecological cancers, radical surgery for ovarian cancers and colposcopy. I am actively working towards the introduction of robotic surgery for gynaecological cancers at CUH.
My research interests include ovarian cancer and sentinel node detection in gynaecological cancers.
Previous history
I studied medicine from Medical College, Calcutta and did my post-graduate study in Ob-Gyn from PGIMER, India. I completed my subspecialty training in gynaecological oncology at Cardiff and took up my first consultant job in gynaecological oncology at Oxford University Hospital before moving to CUH in 2017.
Personal interests
I am a keen learner myself and enjoy introducing the latest technologies and surgical techniques in my area of practice. I enjoy teaching junior doctors basic and advanced surgical techniques.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family and enjoy watching football.
