My current role
I am a consultant adult and paediatric neurosurgeon specialising in tumours of the brain and spinal cord, hydrocephalus, spina bifida, Chiari malformation, and paediatric brain injury.
Previous history
I gained my MA and MBBS from the University of Oxford and University College London, respectively. I completed my general medical training in London and was awarded membership of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS) in 2006.
I undertook neurosurgery training at Queen's Medical Centre, Nottingham, and Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge. During my training, I developed my academic career whilst undertaking a PhD in traumatic brain injury at the University of Cambridge and was awarded a World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies Young Neurosurgeon of the Year Award in 2017. My specialist areas are brain tumour surgery and spinal surgery in both adults and children, for which I have received specialist training at the Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto, Canada, and at the The Walton Centre, Liverpool, UK.
