My current role
I was elected as a Patient Governor in July 2013 and delighted to have been re-elected in July 2023 for another three years.
As a CUH patient, I understand the anxieties patients and visitors may have when attending the hospitals. In my Governor role, I will ensure that communications are improved with patients, the environment of the hospitals is safe and high quality of care is provided. In addition, I would like to use my experience as a former healthcare professional to support staff in their career development.
Previous history
I worked as a radiographer for many years in the NHS and private hospitals in England, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Personal interests
Swimming, tennis, gardening and socialising with family and friends.
