My current role
I offer systemic treatment (chemotherapy / targeted therapy) to patients with bone / soft-tissue sarcoma and testicular germ cell cancer at CUH.
I am also the sarcoma MDT lead, the NIHR CRN Eastern Sarcoma Subspecialty Research lead, and principal investigator of sarcoma clinical trials in Cambridge.
Previous history
I graduated with distinction from the University of Sheffield and did my early medical training in Sheffield and at the Royal Marsden hospital in London.
Following my postgraduate examination, I was awarded the Medical Research Council Clinical Research Training fellowship to undertake a PhD research project on oncolytic viral therapy at the Barts Cancer Institute, Queen Mary University of London.
I was a finalist of the Fairbairn Award at the British Society for Gene Therapy conference in 2009 for my work.
I completed my specialist training in medical oncology in Cambridge and had also spent a year working at the Cancer Research UK centre for drug development in London on experimental therapeutics and early-phase clinical trials.
