My current role
I am a consultant metabolic bone physician, and clinical lead for the metabolic bone service in Cambridge. I also co-lead East Anglia's Rare Bone Disease Service (ERBoN) with Professor Turner, within the NHSE-RDCN for rare bone diseases and recognised as a European Centre of Excellence for delivering rare bone disease care (ERN-BOND).
My current research includes leading on studies in X-Linked Hypophosphatemia, Adult-CNO, and in Service Delivery of Transition Care.
Previous history
I undertook my post-graduate training at UCL.
I have moved all NHS clinical work from rheumatology to metabolic bone disease recently, but as a rheumatologist in recent years I have been involved in research and review of skeletal aspects of axial and general spondyloarthritis.
I am also co-editor-author of The Oxford Handbook of Rheumatology and co-author of The Rheumatology Chapter in Davidson's Principles and Practice of Medicine.
Membership and accreditations
I have held official positions within many organisations on bone disease care in the past, including:
