My current role
I am an Honorary Consultant in Infectious Diseases and Microbiology at Addenbrookes's Hospital and an Honorary Senior Visiting Fellow at the University of Cambridge. I have over 20 years' clinical research experience in malaria, TB, HIV, viral hepatitis, multidrug-resistant bacteria and COVID-19. My research focusses on translating pathogen genomics from a research tool into clinical practice.
Previous history
Prior to joining CUH, I trained in Infectious Diseases and Medical Microbiology in Oxford and did my PhD research at the Oxford University Clinical Research Unit in Vietnam.
Membership/accreditations
I am Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and a Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists.
Personal interests
When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, travelling the world, appreciating the arts, and keeping fit.
