My current role
I am a consultant neuropathologist and I specialise in the interpretation of microscopical appearances of brain tumours, eye lesions, muscle and nerve diseases, and integration with genetic results.
Previous history
Before joining CUH in 1998, I was senior registrar in neuropathology and histopathology in Manchester and Preston, England.
I was a histopathology registrar in Glasgow, Scotland.
Earlier in my career I was a pathology senior house officer in Newport, Wales and a house officer in Liverpool, England.

Personal interests
I am interested in the role of ancient Greek etymology in pathology and also the mythological themes in operas of Richard Strauss and Eric Wolfgang Korngold.
