My current role
My current role involves all aspects of the pre appointment process for our patients. I manage two teams; appointments who process referrals, manage our waiting lists and book outpatient appointments, and PICS, who obtain information requested at triage by our clinical team.
Our service covers Cambridgeshire, Norfolk and Suffolk. I also liaise with our peripheral hospitals where we hold clinics in various locations in East Anglia.
Previous history
Prior to working in clinical genetics, I worked on the admin and clerical bank at Addenbrooke's whilst I completed my studies. I have now worked at Addenbrooke's for over 25 years.
Personal interests
I enjoy spending time with my family when I am not working, as well as dancing, catching up with friends and buying the occasional pair of shoes!
