We are a group of local parents, doula and birth worker volunteers representing the voices of birthing women and people, their partners and families to improve and develop maternity and neonatal services at the Rosie hospital.
Over the past year we have worked with The Rosie to improve the spaces used during inductions, get service users easier access to speak with senior midwives, work to help all elective caesarean births have the same offer of care, ensured that the language used in leaflets and videos is easily understood and supported communication and decision making during COVID.
You may feel that alone, your opinions and feelings about your maternity or neonatal care, whether good or bad, will not make a difference but by drawing experiences together as a group we can make sure our voices are heard and taken seriously.
We invite all pregnant and new parents to complete our "hear my voice" survey (opens in a new tab), find the Rosie Maternity Neonatal Voices Facebook page (opens in a new tab) and to be part of our work.
