If you usually pay for your prescribed medicines please could we kindly ask you to go to CUH Gov.pay (opens in a new tab)
and follow the instructions using your hospital number (MRN) and initials as a reference.

NHS prescription charges are a contribution to NHS funding and are unrelated to the cost of your medicine(s). There is one charge per prescription item dispensed.
1 prescription charge = £9.90
2 prescription charges = £19.80
3 prescription charges = £29.70
4 prescription charges = £39.60
5 prescription charges = £49.50
You will receive email notification of payment.
If you experience any problems related to the online payment, please contact cuh.outpatientprescriptioncharges@nhs.net sending the email notification of payment and/or your name and hospital number.
If you are in any of the following groups you do not need to make a payment.
- Under 16, aged 16-18 and in full time education, aged 60 or over
- Hold a valid prepayment certificate
- Hold a valid medical exemption certificate.
- Hold a valid maternity exemption certificate.
Currently receiving any of the following:
- Income Support
- Income based Jobseeker’s Allowance
- Income related Employment and Support Allowance
- Pension Credit Guarantee Credit or Pension Credit Guarantee Credit with Savings Credit
- Universal credit and meets the criteria.
- Valid NHS tax credit exemption certificate
- Valid NHS certificate for full help with health costs.(HC2 certificate)
