June's You Made a Difference team award goes to a remarkably supportive and knowledgeable team - the staff of clinic 21.
Clinic 21 is a diverse team made up of healthcare assistants (HCAs), nurses, midwives, phlebotomists, clinical nurse specialists and a medical team. The nursing team supports both gynaecological and antenatal consultation clinics and ambulatory diagnostic services within Clinic 21.
Staff in Clinic 21 work well together as a team, supporting the diverse clinics within the department and they are all very knowledgeable. They are always happy to provide support even in challenging scenarios.
This is reflected in the winning nomination, extracts of which told us:
“I have recently joined CUH and the Clinic 21 staff have done everything they can to make me feel welcomed, comfortable and supportive.”
They are an excellent team who work together with amazing communication, and heaps of knowledge.
“The Clinic 21 team has especially made a difference to my life, as a brand new healthcare support worker. They have taken their time, given me their knowledge, advice and have taken care of me non-stop to help me learn the ins and outs of the hospital and clinic. The team is also extremely caring towards their patients, chatting with them to make them comfortable and also making sure they are receiving outstanding patient care.”
