A Breast Unit service manager, and a trauma and orthopaedics coordinator are our You Made a Difference award winners for January 2025.
Felicia Driver, Breast Unit service manager

Felicia Driver has been recognised for her exceptional commitment to patient care and leadership within the Breast Unit at Addenbrooke’s Hospital. Since joining as the Breast Unit Service Manager in July 2021, Felicia has played a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth running of the department, providing clinical leadership, and overseeing the planning and development of services.
Felicia’s dedication extends far beyond her managerial responsibilities. She consistently steps in to support clinical duties when needed, ensuring that patients are not affected by staff shortages. Her compassionate approach and commitment to providing the best possible experience for both patients and colleagues have created a positive and supportive environment within the unit.

Kate Baldwin, Operations Manager, shared how patients regularly provide glowing feedback about Felicia. One patient, whose nomination led to this well-deserved recognition, recounted her experience:
"I was scheduled for my first mammogram after undergoing a mastectomy following breast cancer. As someone who suffers from panic attacks, I had chosen the last appointment of the day when the department would be quieter. Despite allowing extra time for my journey, severe traffic delays left me fearing I would miss my appointment. When I finally managed to reach the hospital at 5:50 pm—long after my scheduled slot—Felicia was still there, waiting for me.
She reassured me throughout the process, taking the time to ensure I was comfortable and never making me feel rushed.
This was an incredibly emotional moment for me, as it was the first time anyone other than my husband or myself had seen my scar. Felicia’s kindness and sensitivity made all the difference. Without her support, I may not have attended at all."

Felicia’s compassion, professionalism, and unwavering dedication to patient care are truly inspiring. She continues to develop her skills and knowledge to provide the highest level of care, setting a shining example for those around her.
Congratulations, Felicia!
