17 year old Sarah shares her story of lifelong disabilities and losing her sight to help shape the experiences of others at the new Cambridge Children’s Hospital.
Interviewed by her friend Alisha, in this short film Sarah speaks out about the challenges facing young people going into hospital, her advice for those going through a similar journey, and how her hospital experiences could be improved.
Sarah and Alisha are members of the Cambridge Children’s Press Pack, a group of creative young people from across the East of England playing a key role in connecting with the wider community by highlighting their stories through video, audio and written content.
My life hasn’t been easy, but it is my resilience, determination and the marvellous people in it that have got me to where I am today. Despite having several lifelong disabilities, I have never let anything hold me back.
