Traumatic brain injury (TBI) is the commonest cause of death under the age of 40 in high-income countries.
Professor Peter Hutchinson, consultant neurosurgeon at CUH and Director of the Cambridge HealthTech Research Centre for Brain and Spine Injury, and Mr. Alexis Joannides, consultant neurosurgeon at CUH and Co-Director of the Cambridge HealthTech Research Centre, discussed the causes, investigation, treatment, and outcomes of TBI.
They also explained how the new HealthTech Research Centre will help improve the management of TBI, enhance the lives of patients, and provide support to affected patients and their families.
