An Addenbrooke’s physiotherapist has won a special award, in memory of 22 year old Anna Garratt-Quinton, a colleague who died a year ago in a traffic accident, just outside the hospital.
Zoe Foster was presented with the award by Anna’s father Paul Quinton on Friday (14th Oct).
It was part of a number of events held at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (CUH) to mark Allied Health Professions Day.
It’s really special for this award to live on in her memory.

Zoe said: “It is really an honour to be nominated for Anna’s award. I worked with her on the medical team last year - it’s really special for this to live on in her memory.”
In presenting the award Paul. Anna’s dad said:
"This award is in recognition of the care and service that Anna brought to Addenbrooke's in the few short months that she worked at the hospital before her fatal accident 12 months ago."
The Anna Award is in recognition of that "extra mile" and the work Anna loved so much.
Paul Quinton
He added:
“I remember the day she rang me to say, in her deeper than normal Mancunian voice "Dad, I got the job!" I was so pleased for her and knew it was the start of something really special.
“After the accident, we sat and talked with some of the therapists and the feedback was that she was more than caring with her patients; going that extra mile to stretch them in reaching their goals in a positive way.
