The Cambridgeshire unit is back open from today, offering treatment for urgent but not life-threatening illness and injury.
In response to the pandemic, the unit had to be temporarily closed while staff were redeployed to other NHS services.
Opening hours will remain the same as before, seven days a week with no appointment required.
Opening times
Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 6pm
Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 5pm
What can be treated at the MIU?
Illnesses and injuries that can be treated at the MIU include:
- Sprains, strains, cuts and grazes
- Arm, foot and leg injuries
- Bites, minor burns and scalds
- Suspected fractures or broken bones
- Minor head injuries
- Eye problems such as scratches and foreign bodies in the eye

MIU staff continue to follow Covid-19 risk assessments and guidance to ensure safe and secure working, with social distancing measures in place and wearing appropriate PPE at all times.
X-ray and other minor injuries units
X-ray facilities at Doddington MIU will restart on Monday 28 June.
X-ray facilities will be available as follows:
- Monday – Friday: 09:00- 16:40
- Saturday/Sunday: 13:00-16:30
There are also two other Minor Injury Units locally including:
- Ely Minor Injury Unit – located at Princess of Wales Hospital, Ely
- Wisbech Minor Injury Unit – located at North Cambs Hospital, Wisbech
