Acute Paediatrics (My Planned Care)

We provide a comprehensive range of services, caring for patients from before birth, through childhood and on to adult services who do not require admission to hospital.

We see patients from numerous specialities within paediatrics, including Clinical Immunology and Allergy, Neurology and Epilepsy, Gastroenterology, Metabolic Disease, Nephrology, Respiratory, and suspected cancer referrals.

Our outpatient clinics are located in Clinic 6 at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge.

Guidance for patients

We received referrals via your GP. Please continue to liaise with your GP or community services whilst waiting to be seen or treated. Your GP and community services will be able to communicate with our service in terms of your health status and escalate your concerns.

As we treat a large amount of conditions, we have put together a portfolio of Patient Information Leaflets covering a variety of conditions. Further leaflets continue to be uploaded regularly. These include information on the various procedures we perform at the Trust, and information on what you and your child can do whilst waiting.

Please also refer to NHS Health A-Z (opens in a new tab) for specific conditions and advice whist waiting.

What should I do if my health is deteriorating?

If you or your child are still waiting for a first outpatient appointment, please contact your referring GP in the first instance.

Existing patients can contact us via the details below for advice if you have concerns.

It can sometimes be challenging to spot a deteriorating sick child. We would therefore advise that if you have any concerns and it is urgent, please dial 111 to request for urgent help.
