Mr Nicholas Segaren

Colleague Nic has a similar challenge with patient Lilie-Mai, who has a growth on the top of her head.

Nicholas Segaren

Nic is a consultant plastic surgeon with a special interest in head and neck reconstruction, and trauma. He re-joined CUH around three years ago as a fellow and then as a consultant.

He was a Fulbright scholar in 2011 and spent a year at Harvard studying for a Master's degree. During this time he was involved with the Face Transplant Team at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston.

After a day in hospital Nic likes to unwind by following Everton Football club and playing golf.

We're a regional and National Centre for Neurofibromatosis,

and we do a lot of joint operating cases with other surgical specialties.

So I think what makes the team here at Addenbrooke's so special is the enthusiasm

One of the most rewarding aspects of a career in plastic surgery is

that it's such a visual specialty.

So a patient will come in with a large cancer

is that I have two children
