Role
I was elected as a Public Governor in July 2019 and re-elected in July 2022. I am Executive Director at UK Education Garden. My vision is to create a healthier and greener world for our next generation.
I have worked in Cambridge for over 10 years in my current job as Head of Careers and Resources which involves managing professional career development programmes and working closely with CUH in organising medical conferences, young people’s work experience, volunteering and supporting NHS apprenticeship programmes.
I hold a Master of Education from the University of Cambridge and a Bachelor of Education from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
I am thankful for the kind and excellent care myself and my family have received over some years at both The Rosie and Addenbrooke’s which was my main motivation for deciding to seek election to become a governor, as well as a great appreciation for the hospitals' contribution to world-renowned research.
For the past few years, I have been an advisory mentor for the Queen's Young Leader Award for 53 Commonwealth countries and I hope to bring this global perspective to my role as governor.
I also wish to help ensure that patients’ experience is continually enhanced with excellent clinical outcomes and outstanding communication, and I hope to represent the priorities of service users at the board level.
During my time as a governor I look forward to supporting the Cambridge Children's Hospital development and I am committed to ensuring patient care remains top of the agenda. My two children were both born at the Rosie Hospital.
